Pick your options and type your text in the "Your text" box above Add to cart. The quantity sets itself to the number of characters.

• Options to choose: Letter height, Material and Fixing.
• The "Font & notes" box below it takes your font code (or a dafont.com font name) and, if you want a height between sizes, the exact height.
• Text is cut exactly as typed, so case matters: "MIA" and "Mia" are different.
• We do not send a proof before cutting, so please check spelling, capitals and the font code before you order.
• The default font is M1.

The price is per character, set by the letter height, material and fixing you choose, and the quantity is the number of characters in your text.

• Spaces are free. Every other character counts as one: letters, numbers and symbols such as & ' ! and the full stop.
• Example: OLIVIA = 6 characters, so quantity 6.
• Example: "Mia & Co." = 7 characters (M, i, a, &, C, o and the full stop), so quantity 7. The two spaces are free.
• The minimum order is A$20 of letters. Postage is not counted towards it.

Height is the tallest letter without a tail in your text.

• In mixed case that is usually the capital or a tall lowercase letter (b, d, f, h, k, l, t).
• The tails of g, j, p, q and y hang below and are not counted. Other lowercase letters are smaller than the height you choose.
• Available heights: 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25 and 30 cm.
• Need a height in between? Choose the next size up and write the exact height you want in the "Font & notes" box. We cut to it.
• Over 30 cm: contact us for a quote.

There are 11 material options: seven in 3 mm sheet, and four thicker choices in Black Gloss and White Gloss.

• 3 mm: Black Matt, Black Gloss, White Matt and White Gloss.
• 3 mm mirror: Gold Mirror, Silver Mirror and Rose Gold Mirror.
• 4.5 mm: Black Gloss and White Gloss, from 3 cm letter height.
• 6 mm: Black Gloss and White Gloss, from 5 cm letter height.
• Thicker sheet needs bigger letters, which is why 4.5 mm and 6 mm start at larger heights.
• Photos show examples. The colour of a mirror finish varies with the reflections in the room.

Choose Self-adhesive backing to peel and stick each letter, Installation template to line up a whole text accurately, or None if you will fix the letters yourself.

• None: loose letters. Use your own adhesive or mounting tape.
• Self-adhesive backing: double-sided adhesive applied to the back of each letter, ready to peel and stick on smooth, flat surfaces.
• Installation template: a template for your text, described below.
• Self-adhesive + template: both of the above.

The installation template is your whole text laser-cut out of a sheet of thick cardboard, with the same letter spacing as your letters. To use it:

1. Tape the board to the wall.
2. Check it is level.
3. Press each letter into its own opening.
4. Peel the board away. Every letter lands in the right place.

Yes, black and white letters can be used indoors or outdoors. Mirror finishes are best indoors or in a sheltered spot.

• Black and white, matt or gloss, in 3 mm, 4.5 mm or 6 mm: cut from cast acrylic, which stands up well to sun and rain, so they suit house names, gates, shopfronts and outdoor signs as well as interiors.
• Gold, Silver and Rose Gold Mirror: best indoors or under cover, out of direct rain and full sun. Over time, moisture can reach the mirror backing through the cut edges.
• Self-adhesive backing holds best on smooth, clean, flat and dry surfaces such as glass, metal, acrylic and smooth painted walls. It is not suited to brick, render, concrete, rough timber or textured surfaces.
• For a rough outdoor wall, choose None (loose letters) and fix them with an exterior-grade adhesive suited to your wall.

Choose one of 25 fonts from the two charts in the photos: Classic C1–C10 (serif) or Modern M1–M15 (sans-serif).

• Type the font's code, for example M1 or C2, in the "Font & notes" box. M1 is the default.
• Each font on the chart shows the smallest height it can be cut at ("from X cm").
• Very fine strokes need bigger letters.

Yes. Send us the name of any font on dafont.com by typing it in the "Font & notes" box.

• Fonts marked "100% Free" or "Public domain" there can be cut straight away.
• If a font is marked for personal use only, we check its licence and contact you before cutting.
• Very thin or detailed fonts may need a larger size. We tell you before cutting.
